I can not express my love for the drs, and nurses here. CCU staff was amazing!
Krista and Staff took excellent care of my father Jack Estep while in the Trauma Center. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work, hope the kitchen gets finished soon..
Dr. Cookson and his team took great care of my husband before and after his kidney surgery. After surgery he came out and explained what he did and recovery. The nurses were amazing and took great care of him.
Overall surgery went amazing. Recovery took way too long because it took forever to get a room.. first set of nurses were complete garbage in med surge floor. One wouldn’t help me at all use the bathroom. She refused. The woman that did put it under then took off. I was literally yelling for someone. She also moved my nurse call button so I couldn’t call. The next set of nurses were older wiser and amazing. I also had a nurse with a eyebrow piercing I’m not sure her name but she was great too. My last nurse was Amber. She mentioned she was a new nurse. She did s better job then I had Seen. Attentive, caring and sweet. She also flushed my ivs which no one had done from weds to Monday. 😤 but I’m glad I got out of there. Food choices are the best part. Great food. But other than that this place needs work.
Top notch trauma care. Took care of my wife after she'd needed over 50 units of blood from a medical emergency. Quality care, great people and very good to work with on self-pay.
My wife was treated here for 4.weeks. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. The nurses and physical therapists are some of the best in Oklahoma. I highly recommend this hospital.
As an employee I'm proud of the teamwork and pride of care between the disciplines. I'm pretty sure Valir is the only physical rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma that boasts ALL private suites for our patients. . .
O.U. Medical Center is a amazing hospital. Dr. Joan Walker and her team we're phenomenal. I recommend this hospital and Dr. Walker for your medical needs, they are caring, confident and very professional! Thank you O.U. Medical and Dr. Joan Walker and your entire team for taking excellent care of me.
Was very impressed with ICU cardiology staff they were amazing. The residents, physicians, nurses and cannot leave out the social workers! My father in law was in the best care we could ask for. We never worried about him when we left. And Amanda and Kami, social workers, were amazing on getting him transferred back to our home town, without a hitch. Great professional, compassionate care, no complaints on OU Medical Hospital.
i had the best team of drs specialist nurses houskeepers and kitchen help i was in a bad accident nov 28th and medi flighted into ou they were quik to get to me ease the pain get my hip back in place head stitched up get me ready for surgery and put a cast on my right foot i was well cared for everything that was done or given to me was well explained nurses on 5th and 6th floor were amazing. even when all i could do was cry in pain and worry. chaplain saved my boots for me as my clothes were cut off of me. they worked hard and fast THANK YOU OU TEAM. BOOMER SOONER BABY.
This is the place where you go if you don't want to wait for you medical needs! They are so quick and makes you feel really valued. Thank you guys for the excellent care!
No greater torture device has ever been known to mankind than the rather loosely named "chair/recliner" that serves as bedside seating for those visiting sick loved ones in each room at OU Medical Center. I have to wonder if some furniture designer who is directly descendant from one of the architects of The Spanish Inquisition designed or perhaps chose these atrocities to be purchased and placed in each room hospital wide. I had spent the night at the bedside of a sick loved one. I wondered downstairs for fresh air during the night and noted the wooden bench setting outside the front entrance. Had it not been cold I would have seriously entertained the idea of catching a cat nap on the bench. The hard wooden bench would have been an upgrade in comfort! Otherwise, nursing, doctors and all staff were attentive, caring and prompt to see to patient needs.
I was admitted thru the ER for a rare skin disease and found their team of research doctors top notch, the nurses were attentive and caring, and the chaplain very encouraging. Thank you all!!
the nurses and PT staff is wonderful but the case managers and office are horrible. my son was released after having surgery and PT for a fractured tibia they released him after a week and when I went to pick him up they didn't have the wheelchair they ordered for him so he was sent home with no wheelchair no walker no nothing. The forgot one of his prescriptions and when I noticed they had to call it in. He has been home 4 days now and they still don't have home health care set up. what about his PT? what about his woundcare? Think twice before going here.
OMG! This is a hospital people not Club Med! What is this about no shampoo or towels and they only gave me ice chips and no food!? Sick people go to hospitals you all sound like you need to be at The Hilton. You probably only received ice chips because of a medical reason you twit! These are medical professionals and I'm quite sure you weren't getting punished. For crying out loud this is crazy. OU medical has taken care of me since 2000 and has done a damn fine job of it! They have taken good care of many friends and family and we are all still here and doing well. We may not have gotten a sponge bath, massage and powder and a mint on our pillow but we did get excellent, compassionate, cutting edge care and still do. Give me a break and go wine at some other facility. Jeez...
Always had the very best service & care that I could ask for. Always had a Dr. Or nurse to help with any questions I had. Was treated with respect and care. I would truly recommend going here or sending a family member if they needed care. I would use them again for service.
Hands down the best facility! Every single person you walk by or meet, nurse, tech, dietary, Pt, OT, recoptionist etc... is absolutely the nicest most respectful people! High recommend to anyone! All smiles! Every person working in this facility we have came in contact with over the past month has been amazing! They take such good care of their patients and the patients family/friends! Haven't had even one slightest bit of negative or doubt in choosing the right place!!
We had Jessica at the ER and she was amazing with our son who needed to get glue on his chin for biting his lip pretty bad. She really knew how to be with kids! She has my son laughing and explained everything as she was doing it. We also were taken back immediately and did not have to wait at all. Thank you!
January 2016 I underwent a Liver Transplant. I have made a full recovery! With the wonderful donors "gift of life" and the profession and support of Dr. Anthony Sebastian, Dr. Harlan Wright and ALL the O/U Hospital Staff, I'm forever grateful. I'm confident and at ease with the education and support I've received and I'm enjoying the results of the process. It was worth it! I believe that Jesus Christ worked all these things together for my good. The process was not easy but, with the wonderful care and encouragement provided by O/U Medical Center today I'm celebrating life with all my family & friends. Richard Fallis
Wonderful experience, my mother who is in her 60s , she had a severe head injury around 4am and the staff and doctors have done anything and everything to make this hard time as easy as possible
The doctors and staff are very professional and helpful. My husbands condition was taking care of imideately. The after surgery pain was managed very well. I would definitely recommend.
I took my son with glass in his side. It had been in there for four months. They got him in quickly and got it out. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
